…the first time and the last (version for 10 cellos)

Publisher: Onibatan Music. This is a transcription of “…the first time and the last” for 10 cellos, written for the Chicago-based ensemble DecaCelli.  The original version, scored for four cellos, was commissioned by “Four in Correspondence”, four members of Washington DC’s National Symphony Orchestra. The piece incorporates a motet by Orlando di Lasso and is distinguished by an abundant use of silence.
