It was commissioned by La Chapelle Musicale Reine Elizabeth in Waterloo, Belgium. It was first performed at La Chapelle Musicale on 13 October, 2020 by Natania Hoffman and Gary Hoffman, soloists, with the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie conducted by Vahan Mardirossian.
